For Sight – Seers

Use the farm as your base for days out around Wiltshire. There are many attractions, large and small, within a short drive.

Avebury – a World Heritage site just a few miles from the farm. A wonderful place, where you can walk right up to the stones. Part of an extraordinary set of Neolithic and Bronze Age ceremonial sites that seemingly formed a vast sacred landscape. They include West Kennet Avenue, West Kennet Long Barrow, The Sanctuary, Windmill Hill, and the mysterious Silbury Hill. Many can be reached on foot from the village. The Alexander Keiller Museum also displays many notable finds from the Avebury monuments.

Bath – a very different World Heritage site but with just as much to see. A unique, feel-good city combining vibrant contemporary culture with a rich history and heritage from the Roman Baths to the wonderful Palladian architecture of Jane Austen’s time. Fabulous cafes and restaurants to refuel during your day. Check out the Top 10 Things To Do

Castle Combe and Lacock
Two quintessential English villages within a short drive of the farm. Both will seem surprisingly familiar as they have both featured in many TV shows and films – from Poldark and War Horse to Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice. Castle Combe is also home to a motor racing circuit that hosts many events through the year. Winding streets, fabulous architecture, old cosy pubs, as well as the stunning 13th Century Abbey at Lacock.
