Where to Eat

The Chalk Barn has a fully equipped kitchen and a Weber BBQ so many guests choose to eat in during their stay but if you want to try some local eateries, here are some great options recommended to you:

The White Horse Pub
Just a 10 minute walk from the Farm along the village road, the White Horse is an exceptional pub – great food in the restaurant, a cosy bar with log fires in the winter, tables in the garden for al fresco dining on warmer days and a friendly welcome whatever the weather.

Rick Stein, Marlborough
For top quality seafood dining, there is none better than the Rick Stein restaurant in Marlborough. Located on the main street through Marlborough, an ideal place for a lunchtime stop or an evening out – just 20 minutes from the farm.

Clayton’s Kitchen in Bath
If you are over in Bath to check out the shopping or the architecture (or both) we highy recommend Clayton’s Kitchen for lunch or dinner. And if you are lucky, you’ll find Buttle Farm pork on the menu!!

Michelin Star Quality
The Red Lion pub/restaurant at East Chisenbury is about 35 minutes from the farm but well worth a visit – consistently delivering top food, open from Wednesday to Sunday, if you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, this will fit the bill.

Our local Indian
If you’re in the mood for a curry, our local town Calne is home to the Spice of Bengal restaurant that also has a takeaway service.
